Who besides me is fiendin' for that new Ali Vegas album? If you're not then I can't fuck with you, go shit your pants and sit in the corner because it's all bout that lyrical content in 2008. No dancing over here, just straight bars; a return to MIC skills and third eye "visualistic" music. That's right I made up a new word, don't test the rocket launchers linguistics. Have you heard 50 on that new "Rider Pt. 2" track? His best voice coder hook and all...that is a track you def won't hear on this mixtape. Block Muzik is full of MCs who beast like the Hulk on the MIC, not that pop, gimmick, fad rap; save that shit for Entertainment Tonight and TMZ paparazzi news fans. We swing elbows over here not gossip.

Ali Vegas over Premo production is that shit; "War" is the best track up on this CD too. Prodigy with "The Life" is close tho. Murder music hasn't sounded so go for a minute now. Or maybe "Something Real" by Grafh is the best track up on here. "Fans don't want to hear crack they want the superman song..." You have to love the path less traveled. "Middle finger to the pork rinds up in that crown vic / if he ain't have that badge I be taking him down quick." Maybe it's Termanology on "Who's The Nicest"; best word play in '08 so far too. I listen to "This Little Light" by Ali Vegas and I just know his album is that shit you can cop after you scoop up an ounce and just zone out for a few hours and peep the jewels in the rhymes. Don't even get me started on that "Paper Planes Freestyle"...sheeeeeet. If we're talking word play tho you have to mention Big Lou. I wasn't big on the hook for "Expand" but he was rhyming his ass off as usual. Don't sleep on Rampage either. He put it down back in the day and "Gigerbread Man" is no different.

Block Muzik mixtape series is bangin' throughout each volume. I mean when you're on vol. 10 and they all damn near rock three tapes you know Rhude has got a mixtape franchise on his hands. Still in all a couple joints on here messed with my complete overall vibe of the project... *coughs...Foxy Brown...*coughs. I don't know what it is about old girl but she doens't do it for me on the MIC. You could say I'm nit picking but I've heard street certified and classic mixtapes before and although Rhude is close the cigar will have to wait till the next joint. (3/12/08)
