Track list

Welcome back to DJ Sureshot. He's taking target practive at you cats so you better tuck and roll you're ass out of the way. See the pun in the title..DJ Sureshot....Target Practice...ahh man you cats are slow. Anyway, track list looks interesting, nice balance of the known and unknown but can the unknown spit is the question.

The CD started for me anyway with "Get Off My Dick". That 40 Cal joint got a tire hook and that Drag-on...man don't get me started. I don't know how well Havoc will sell but from what I've heard so far he's got some hot shit. Hoodfella and Ransom Rellic went in on "Sho Ya Right"...the word play is much improved and the back and forth on the hook was quality. I couldn't fuck with "Freak Quently"...cats didn't stand out at all. Does Hot Rod still have his deal? Damn dude kinda fell off buzz wise. One cat you shouldn't sleep on is Lexx 9eleven. I heard his mixtape, shit is dope...never got around to reviewing it but he got some product to push. "Heavy Rounds" is leaving outlines in concrete. You know Geolani got the anthem of anthem's with "Let My Tape Rock". Metro Beats did his thing on the beat...I'd like to see this track get some more mixtape love coast to coast. The sleeper track is Mike Baggz with the proper mixtape flip of "Forget About U"...it's why you cop mixtapes in the first place.

It's another solid project from Sureshot. The mixtape had its ups and downs...peaks and valley's so to speak. Sureshot got a ear for what works on the unknown artist side of things. Production has a lot to do with it too cause if the beat don't move you and hold you're ear cats is reaching for the FF button. Like the title says tho...it's Target Practice...so I guess Sureshot is still on the come up. (9/26/07)
