Shout to GM productions for building and costantly working with their artists. Its rare you find people who actually try to develop talent so I have to support that to the fullest. I haven't heard to much from Spaz but I know enough about him to keep my ears open for some crazy bars. The Kid Domination is mixing and keeping things moving so recognize the talent.
The horns in that intro are crazy, had me open. GM Productions stay cooking up some hot shit. "Got That" was cool, I don't know if I would have set the project off with it tho. "Me an my goons ride out like hooligans"...ehhh I was expecting better than that. "Snap Ya Fingaz" has hit potential, I can't front...hook is catchy too. I had to rewind "Brooklyn's Future" a couple times. Cats beat the shit outta this track. I haven't heard Flawless in a minute but he got it in with Push! Montana doing what he's been doing consistiently all year. The thumps in "Ride Wth My Ni99as" is the shit. I'm diggin' the sound man, cats really riding in their own lane while giving Spaz a unique sound; his voice rode this joint well. At the same time a joint like "What It Iz" kind of burries Spaz's voice...makes it sound generic to me...he def needs the right beat to shine. I like the chemisty with Cardi on "Bar 4 Bar Madness"...shit had that raw energy and cats sound hungry like the wolf; Cardi got some ill word play. "My Hood" with A-Mafia is an anthem for real. This is another joint that complitmented Spaz's voice well. "Get Away" gets a little introspective and I can dig it. MCs need today need to spit that shit cats can relate to other wise you're just selling a pipe dream.
Spaz got bars, I think he still needs time in the studio tho. GM doing their thing cause the production they had on here is some of the most well rounded sounding music I've heard all year. You can tell they're working on song structure and hooks too. I'd like to hear some more concept records which will def be a calling card for MCs in 2008. (12/22/07)
