Whut It Dew and Spark Dawg are back at it again. There are a lot of artist out there putting in work but one cat who's laying it down something serious is Spark Dawg. Dude is an "anthem" machine. Peep the track record going back to that "Side Kick" joint and you'll see commercially viable anthems and a whole lotta street anthems in between...this mixtape is no different.
Listen to Spark Dawg, Joakaman and Yung Texxus on "Comin Dyne" and tell me that shit doesn't make you want to hit the block with cocaine. "Drop The Top" is an anthem I was talking about earlier...the flow got that bounce to it and with Whut It Dew highlighting the track like that it sounds that much better. "Dial Tone" is that shit Dimez used to pull on ho's all the time. He would tell a bitch "hold up, my man Tone wanna holla at you real quick"...and hang up on a bitch, classic. Spark Dawg captured that shit perfectly. "Tremblin" is my joint tho, just raw rhyming going in on a beat and the shit sounds lovely in the ride too. Remo slides through to lay down a 16 on "Reppin 4 Da Streets" like only he can do. Don't sleep on that Rasom and Spark Dawg joint "How We Movin" either. Ransom and Spark Dawg on a track will def come thru and thug ya mother. The track I'm fucking with on the low is "Room Full Of Groupies". That shit got the energy and the bounce to it, just need a video to go with it now.
DJ Whut It Dew brings out that classic mixtape sound in an artist and that's what separates a regular project from a truly bangin' project. Def expect to see and hear more from the homie Spark Dawg. I like the fact he's running with his own style and making his own lane in the game. That shit isn't easy to do but then again he is "The Godfathers Advocate"..... (8/29/07)
