J Ronin, Tony Touch and DJ Snips are hosting, mixing and overall keeping this project on point. It’s the marriage of beat, lyrics and concepts that make it pop tho.
“The Streets Won’t Let Me Go” needs to be on rewind. Like I mentioned above it’s the marriage of the music. The message in this joint might be lost on some cats but that beat should hold their ears long enough to really feel it. “Stay Tuned” is that mixtape music you fiend for…”I bring water to the desert, sprinkle a dying art with words from the heart and I play my part”…that’s that piffery people. Shabaam breaks down your current hip hop formula all while coming with a viable dance song, shit is classic and you can really do a stupid dance to it…now that’s a versatile MC! I love how he broke down “Uno, Dos, Tres”. No one person is safe on this track and you know what? He gives you a little education with the bars too…pay attention. It wouldn’t be proper not to mention the “Lifestyles of the Hood and Shameless” interlude. Shit had me rollin’ and def gives the project that character. The joint to have you up in the chiropractor is “Connect 4” featuring UG from Cella Dwellas, Casual and Sean Price. I’m not gonna over hype this project cause the music speaks for itself. You Hot Pocket ass Hip Hop fans need to pay attention. Get out the microwave and get into some good music.
