I can't not review this R&B mixtape because that would be Rhude. Pun intended people. It's the eve of Christmas eve, my pockets are hurting from all the spending on Christmas gifts so why not listen to and review some new R&B. It's not gonna make my pockets feel any better but maybe my mood will change for the better.

Oh shit Soul For Real got some new shit? "One Man" is cool, Jada doing the usual feature bars...nothing special. I don't mess with The Dream to tough but the mixing from "I Luv Your Girl" into "Checking My Phone" was smooth. I'm diggin' the beat on "Let Me Watch"...this might be my new theme musc for the holidays. Ladies I mean that in the way of let me watch you do your thing to yourself and not some othe dude doing it to you...ya dig? I still think Foxy can rhyme, "Lights Go Out" is decent, it's radio friendly for sure but she's still kinda crazy as cat shit. No homo, Mario might have another hit in "Skippin". My daughter was diggin' it and that's a tell tale sign right there. The Craig David stuff didn't really move me at all...kind of generic but the mixing was on point as usual. "Honey" got a knock to it. Erykah Badu is type crazy too but you can't deny the soul. I still fuck with Mike Jacks music but "Let Me Let Go" sounds a lil dated to me. "Bigger Man" was a hell of a lot better, Mike got some bounce in that shit.

Rhude def has enough soul on here to call the mixtape Hip Hop Soul. Finding soulful music these days is a task all by itself, let alone making a mixtape. The mixing was smooth and I got to rock it on my mini road trip in the ride with daughter listening so points for that too. Not much hip hop music today you can let a seven year old listen to without being just a flat out bad parent, thanks Rhude. (12/23/07)
