Do I sense a little tension in the mixtape R&B world? Truth be told competition is healthy and it only means quality projects will be made. 2Mello and Finesse conflicts aside, the R&B world as a whole is doing decent this year. There have been some dope albums put out and there are more to come this year. Me personally I'm waiting on that Mary J album.

The intro is serious people, shout to DJ Sean doing his thing. If you only listen to one track off this CD make it this shit. I was pumped up and I don't even fuck with some of those vocals. When the second beat hits over "Kiss, Kiss" it was a wrap for me…had to rewind that shit. Then when the joint flipped half way thru "Get It Shawty"....ahh man....djs playing with cats emotions on this one. I don't fuck with "I Luve Your Girl" too tough but I can recognize a hit when I hear it. I had that "Hate On Me Rmx" on repeat for a minute. Jill Scott and MC Lyte did the damn thing and 2Mello brought that out with the skills too. The beat for this track in knocking...and MC needs to mixtape flip that shit soon. If you haven't hear that Mya album yet def peep it. Old girl did her thing..."All In The Name of Love" is tight. "My Back" is a potential hit too. Never heard of Christian Alexanda either but that's what 2Mello does he shines the light on those future stars. It's good to hear Keith Sweat still doing his thing..."nobody"...lol, I couldn't resist. Is Usher channeling his inner Michael Jackson on "Wifey"? Cats are jacking (pun) Mikes whole swagger from the early 80s now. Snoop killed me with "Sexual Eruption". The joint is smooth tho and the video just hit the net today too, go peep it. It's funny how he just exploited T-Pains whole verbal style. "Smoke us a cigarette and go back to sleep..sleep...sleep"...classic. Brandy sounds mad generic on "What Have You Done For Me", not evern Riff Raff could save her. Lol

It's another 2Mello banger people. The skills were damn near flawless on this one; throw that into the mix and this joint is getting a week and more burn in my ride. I know we got some mixtape type awards coming up soon in 2008 (Justo's and SEA), we'll have to see who takes those home and who will be sitting on the throne in '08. (11/29/07)
