I don't know how many of you peep the Alica Keys leak but her album is a must cop if you into some real music. Not to many singers today actual sing with as much passion as old girl. Props to Walshy Fire on the mixtape cause besides a joint or two on some R&B mixtapes Alicia Keys seldom gets much love in the mixtape world. Props to Dirty Harry for having her host Dirty Luv 2 & 3 tho too.
"No One" is a bonifide hit record if there ever was one right now. I just love to hear some actual feeling in a track that plays on the radio. Way to much fluff on the airwaves but this joint right here is all heart an soul. You take a track "Like You'll Never See Me Again" and it brings you back man. It makes you think whether you want to or not, it evokes emotion in the listener...you gotta dig it. Don't even front on the live version of "Streets Of New York". I could vibe off the bass alone on that joint. The piano alone should have you open off "Sure Looks Good To Me". Belive it or not this is that straight head nod, I can listen to this all day. "Lessoned Learned" will have the ladies amped up and crying on some "my man just fucked me over" type shit. That's one of the reasons she has the fans she does tho.
Walshy Fire got a smooth mix man, the fad was working lovely. At first the gunshots annoyed me but it fits the theme of the mixtape..."Shot Through The Heart". That Walshy fire drop was mildly annoying tho, def fucked with the vibe a little throughout. Overall the project was short and to the point. Dude pulled off some smooth shit and truth be told after the first listen straight through I was in a good mood too. Props for that. Now go download it over at Mixtapekilla (11/20/07)
