Welcome back shouts to DJ Jules. Is there any better R&B than classic R&B? No, seriously. I mean today’s R&B and maybe the "Thong Song" is like blisters on a sweaty foot; you know that it's there, it's painful and you can't wait for it to burst. Then what do we do? We put on a band aid like it's gonna be all better but it never really gets better. Kind of a lame analogy, I know. But with radio stations across the country leaving Hip Hop in the dust all you're about to hear is R&B and if that's the case can we at least get some "new" classics? Put the different genres of music aside and can we just get some timeless music that defines 2007? That's what music needs right now...some definition.

"Happily Ever After" was my joint, Case is def slept on cause "Personal Conversations" was a dope album. I'm sure not too many new jacks are familiar with Public Announcement. Google them if you have too..."Yippy yi ya yo". lol I once got laid to "Lately" playing on the radio hitting this broad off in the ride while parked in a cemetery...now if that isn't class I don't know what is. Hahahaha. Whatever happened to Changing Faces? "Stroke You Up" made some noise but "G.H.E.T.T.O.U.T" was their hit. I'd like to go back to when SWV had their run of hit records. These ladies were doing their thing in the early 90's; hit after hit. "Weak" was the shit. Now where are the tracks like "Weak" in 2007? I have another question for you. Who here doesn't miss Aailyah? Damn...right. "At Your Best" had that mellow groove but the message was clear. I don't give a fuck; "Cupid" is a panty dropper. 112 must have gotten much ass back in the day. I won't dispute that "Don't Leave" was a hit for Blackstreet but honestly that's a suck ass song (no homo). Don't leave me girl, lol. Shit you would never catch me saying that shit now a day. I had my time where I would chase a broad down; argue in an alley in my underwear acting a fool. Not now tho, shit you wanna leave...bizounce up outta here.

Jules doing his thing real smooth like on the mixing side of things...classic style. Anytime you try to flash back on some "classic" R&B you need to have the hits but you need to bring back those rare, hard to find, often forgotten joints that heads remember. Jules had a decent balance of that on here. This is nice pick up when hitting the mixtape spot to balance out the theme music for the week along with those new exclusive CDs you'll cop as well.
