"Teeeeeeaaaaammmmmm Playyyyaaazzzz!" I hope that's the last time I hear that drop considering this is a slow jam CD. Naw but serioulsy, Biz kept it real quiet on the MIC and to his credit the shit came out lovely. Who is old enough to remember Bilal from House Party the Moive sing a Heatwave classic to some yooker? I like how Biz flipped that to set the mood of the CD. 90's slow jams were classic. Where are the classic slow jams of 2006? Anyone? Exaclty, that shit is a lost art now.
If you were "of age" in the 90's and you didn't have that first Shai CD then you weren't human. That shit got mad play everywhere, a capella version and all. God damn Janet Jackson is a sexy ass woman. I know she can't really sing but he soft ass voice was perfect for "Anytime Anyplace" and her soft ass was perfect in that video too. Back to must have slow jam CDs of 90's...Jodeci. There really is nothing else to say but their name...Jodeci. "You remind me of my jeeeeep, I wanna ride it", rember this shit. R.Kelly before he got doing nasty shit to little girls. I know I just killed the vibe, my bad. After the "dirty interlude" shit wasn't as potent. I can think of three different Aaron Hall songs other than "Kiss You" that could of been used. Yvette Michele? That chic got played out like Funk Flex's wack ass driving shoes. I fucks with Mary J though and "So Amazin" was proper.
Biz had damn near a classic up till that Aaron Hall joint. Intro with "Come Inside" was the pinacle of the CD and then it went downhill. Not that you couldn't still get your freak on to the music after it but if you know the music of that time period your kinda left scratching your head like "why he used that?" The CD is still cop'able and then some. Biz should def keep this series going, maybe take only a couple artist from the 90's and make a concept outt of it or dip into the 80's or going even further some 80's Vs 90's Slow Jam battle type shit. Catch ya'll on the next joint. (8/27/06)
